Book 205 Unorthodox by Deborah Feldman

Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots
Unorthodox - kindle edition

795 books to go!

Summary:
Deborah Feldman grew up in Brooklyn, raised in the sect of Satmar Hasidic Jews. In this memoir she talks about her life in the sect and her eventual break away from the sect and into the outside world.

Opinion:
This book was alright. It provided a good inside view into the world of hasidic and orthodox judaism, but the writing wasn't anything to write home about.

Why I chose to read this:
A lot of people at the library have been asking about it, so I figured I'd read it to see how it was.
