Book 232 My big fat Supernatural Honeymoon edited by P.N. Elrod

My Big Fat Supernatural Honeymoon

I'm reformatting this blog again to a more loosely based format. I'm no longer liking the Summary, Opinion and why I chose to read this thing, I just want to write, describe the book a little, maybe give an opinion if I feel like I really hated it or something. So until I figure out if another format works for me I'll just be writing a few paragraphs about each book in an uncategorized paragraph/category entry.

This is a sequel to My Big Fat Supernatural wedding. There's a few different short stories, written by different authors on the fictional subject of a supernatural honeymoon. The stories were amusing, some were funny, nothing overly creepy even though the stories were of a supernatural subject. A nice read if you are into short stories.

Book 231 - Cindy Sherman: The complete untitled film stills by Peter Galassi

Cindy Sherman: The Complete Untitled Film Stills

Summary:
In the beginning of the book there's a brief introduction by Cindy Sherman, followed by plates of her untitled film stills.

Opinion:
This book was a good book for a brief section of Sherman's work. I think I read the essay introduction before in another book.

Why I chose to read this:
I'm mildly obsessed with Cindy Sherman's work, so I basically tried to get my hands on whatever the library system had in order to read about her.

Book 230 - The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling

 The Casual Vacancy

770 books to go!

Summary:
The sequence of events in this book start when Barry Fairbrother passes away. His death leaves an open seat on the Pagford Council, a casual vacancy that some of the town members battle for.

Opinion:
This book was a little strange, it was decent, well written, I couldn't stop reading it, but I hated the ending. The ending was incredibly sad, I wish the book ended differently but I could see why J.K. Rowling chose the ending she did.

Why I chose to read this:
I was interested in this since I found out over the summer she was publishing this book in September.

Book 229 My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding

My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding

771 books to go!

Summary:
This is a collection of short stories featuring weddings and the supernatural.

Opinion:
This book was pretty entertaining, nice to read for the month of October, this month I'm trying to read some spooky scary works here and there.

Why I chose to read this:
Nabbed this book from work shortly before taking off for my own wedding, I think it was listed as part of a series I might start reading by P.N. Elrod.
