So I really hated this book, apparently I hated it so bad I blocked it out subconsciously from posting the review of the book, written for my phantom blog, on this book blog.
So here's the sucky book review! Definitely not worth anyone's time, I'm very sorry I read it.

Book 165 Corporations Are Not People by Jeffrey D. Clements
Corporations Are Not People: Why They Have More Rights Than You Do and What You Can Do About It Kindle Edition
835 books to go!
Summary:
This book is about the case of Citizens United, the case was a ruling by the supreme court two years ago giving person hood to corporations and allowing them constitutional rights that they should not have. The book details the very corrupt government we have and provides some resources to stand up and make a change.
Opinion:
I found this book to be shocking and fascinating. I'd like to get involved if I have more time in the Appalachian mountain cause as well as fighting to amend the constitution to overturn Citizens United.
Why I chose to read this:
I picked up this book from work for Shawn to read. He actually did not get a chance to read it just yet because his mother and I kind of took it over before he had a chance to read it. I had to take it back to work but I can eventually check it out for him again or we can get it for our kindle.
Book 164 The Eleventh Victim by Nancy Grace
The Eleventh Victim
Kindle Edition
836 books to go!
Summary:
This book is the introduction to Hailey Dean, a fictional heroin created by Nancy Grace. The book covers the prosecution of Clint Burnell Cruise, a chef who allegedly murdered eleven prostitutes by strangulation. Hailey retires after she wins the case against Cruise and starts up life again in NYC only to be haunted by the case.
Opinion:
I was actually surprised to learn that Nancy Grace is dabbling in the art of writing, and that she herself was a victim of violent crime. I recognized her from television, I do have to say her and her editor did a wonderful job, the book was an enjoyable thriller.
Why I chose to read this:
I have her second novel the continuation to this Hailey Dean series on my kindle. I started to read it briefly before I realized there was a first book, so now that I've read this, after I am done reading this awful garbage of a phan phiction that I unfortunately purchased, I'm going to continue with the second novel in this series and wait eagerly for a third one if she writes it.
Book 163 Fables Vol. 16 Super Team by Bill Willinghman
Fables Vol. 16: Super Team
Summary:
The saga of the fables continue in this latest installment. The fables are still fighting Mr. Dark and the North Wind faces a tough decision as he's torn between honor and love.
Opinion:
As always I like reading about what happens next to the fables. Can't wait to pick up when number 17 is ready. I might pre-order or just get it from the library. Pre-ordering is nice because we are collecting the fables and walking dead series but we can always buy the books at a later date and read them now for free through the library.
Why I chose to read this:
Obviously to continue on with this series.
Book 162 One Day by David Nicholls
One Day (Movie Tie-in Edition) (Vintage Contemporaries)
Kindle Edition
838 books to go!
So I'm back from my work vacation, back to the daily grind, and back to blogging. I kind of took a break from photo posting and blogging during my time off as well. During my vacation I intended to read many many books, but I only got four finished. So without further ado, my 1,000 book challenge continues with this current entry plus 3 more.
Summary:
This book is about a one night stand between Dexter Mayhew and Emma Morley, which took place during their graduation from college in England. Over the next 20 years Dexter and Emma remain friends with an attraction to each other, the book leaves you turning the pages to find out if these two will finally get together or just remain friends.
Opinion:
I enjoyed this book but I warn you, if you are emotional the end of the book is very sad. I stayed up until 5 AM during the beginning of my vacation to finish the book and ended my before bed time reading with some tissues. I am waiting to view the movie, believe it or not during all my time off I didn't have a chance to see it. Unfortunately for me it's a chick flick, so it's definitely something Shawn will not watch with me. I'm waiting for an opportune time when I am home and he is not, or when he is asleep so I can spare him the painful viewing of estrogen. This might happen this Friday, I am off from work because I work Saturday if I do not spend the day chatting with his mom (or if I can get her to watch this with me), maybe I can watch it Friday while he's working.
Why I chose to read this:
Before I went on vacation I checked this book out using the kindle cloud reader.

Book 160 Tiffany's Swedenborgian Angels by Mary Lou Bertucci and Joanna Hill
Tiffany's Swedenborgian Angels: Stained Glass Windows Representing the Seven Churches from the Book of Revelation
840 books to go!
Summary:
Louis Comfort Tiffany designed Angels representing the seven angels in the book of revelations. These angels were opened 40 years after their creation. A company called In company with angels, inc. made it possible for these angels to be restored and exhibited. This book gives details about each angel, historical and biblical background about them, and talks about the restoration process.
Opinion:
Pretty interesting, a short read I'd probably read it again, as I breezed through it because I wanted to return it to work before tomorrow.
Why I chose to read this:
Random find off the book cart at work and since I am trying to read some art books lately I figured why not!
Book 159 The Mothman Prophecies by John A. Keel
The Mothman Prophecies
841 books to go!
Summary:
This book is a true to life account of the Silver Bridge Collapse on December 15, 1967 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Before the bridge collapsed the towns people saw many strange occurrences, these phenomena varied from UFOs, to the mothman, to slaughtered pets and lives stock.
Opinion:
This book was mostly about UFOs, it briefly covered the Point Pleasant bridge collapse at the very end of the book and in the beginning of the book. The author deems November 15,1966 to the date of the bridge collapse on December 15, 1967 as the year of Garuda. The book covers the mothman as well, he is said to have made appearances to the people of Point Pleasant to warn them of the impending disaster. I enjoyed the book for the fact that it was much more informative then the movie, although for my taste it delve much too deeply into the UFO phenomena. It was interesting to read and I am interested in supernatural phenomena but UFOs aren't a dire interest to me, I am more into psychic abilities, precognition or premonitions in particular and ghosts even though I wish I never see one because it will scare the hell out of me. The book creeped me out, there was a whole chapter on UFO occurrences near Mount Misery and brief mentions of UFO occurrences Ocean Parkway. Both places are semi close to where I live and Ocean Parkway is where I had my accident, I also had my accident in perfect UFO weather on a creepy foggy night so the book scared me, I was a little afraid to go to bed on Saturday night after reading it even though I was exhausted.
Why I chose to read this:
I just saw the motion picture of the mothman prophecies starring Richard Gere with Shawn a couple of weeks ago. The Mothman is actually very interesting, the movie was pretty good although it was much more fictionalized, plot and story driven then the book was. The book is definitely non fiction. I picked up the book from work before I saw the movie, I had always intended to read it so I figured after viewing the movie it was time to read the text.

The Walking Dead Volume 15 TP
842 books to go!
Summary:
This is the latest installment of the walking dead graphic novel series. Rick anxiously awaits to see if Carl will awaken after he was shot, Maggie struggles to let Glenn do what he has to do for the group out of fear for his life and safety.
Opinion:
As always I enjoyed this, can't wait for the next installment of the series, although I may start to check them out from work instead of ordering them.
Why I chose to read this:
I'm wishing to keep up with the walking dead series in book form.
