This is a brief graphic novel by Neil Gaiman, supplemental to the Sandman series. To my knowledge there are four graphic novels supplementing to his Sandman series, this is the second one I've read.
In this one Death ends up gathering Foxglove and Hazel (two lovers), Hazel's son Alvie, as well as Vito the underwear model and Boris, one of Foxglove's employees. Hazel and Death ended up striking a deal to save her son Alvie, and now Death wants one of these five in return for saving Alvie's life.
Even though this is a short one there was powerful meaning behind it as well as life lessons and a sort of a happy ending....just not so much happy for one of the characters. Worth the read if you can't get enough of the sandman series.
