This is the story of Edmund Dantes. Edmund's life is destroyed when he's accused of a crime, he's sentenced to jail and as a result of spending years in jail before he manages to escape he loses his father and his fiancee. After escaping jail, Edmund plots out a mission of revenge against those who've wronged him after discovering a fortune of treasure hidden on the small remote island of Monte Cristo.
